Boomtown Festival 2020 – Chapter 12
The 12th chapter: New beginnings runs from the 12th to the 16th of August this year and is held at the Matterley Estate near Winchester. Tickets are available to buy now and are worth every penny. You can get yours here.
The artists there this year as usual are a mix of old and new. The standard eclectic mix or bands are just perfect. Boowmtown Fair are all about the experience not just the music.
There is a new stage this year which has just been announced and the bands are epic. Here are just a few;
Wu-Tang Clan – An American hip hop band formed in 1992. I have been listening to these guys pretty much since they formed and just love them! With a plethora of albums under their belts, you can be sure of an amazing show!
Damian Marley – the youngest son of the legend Bob Marley, Damian sure does take after his father. With style and beautiful vocals you just have to see him. Don’t miss out.
Squarepusher – if you like electronic music then this dude from Chelmsford UK is an artist that you cannot miss. Spanning across several genres including D&B and even jazz, you are in for a real treat. I am gutted that we will miss it this year. Boohoo!
Orbital, Kelis, Pendulum, De La Soul are just a few others on the new stage that you can catch.
Other than the new stage, it hasn’t yet been announced who will be playing on what stages and on what days so here are some of the other bands to catch while you are there.
Akala, Sugarhill Gang & Furious 5, Too Many Zooz, Beans On Toast, Horse Meat Disco & Vini Vici. Not forgetting of course Flogging Molly, Skindred and Dinosaur Pile-up.
With 13 districts and 17 stages Boomtown Festival 2020 – Chapter 12 will have something to offer everyone. It is an amazing festival where you can happily take all of the family spanning all age ranges. There is entertainment for everyone with so much to do and see.
There is a district called Kidztown which well as you can guess if full of entertainment for the kiddies. It hasn’t yet been announced what will but there this year but if the rest of the festival is anything to go by then I would say that the kids will have a fab time!
To make the experience extra special, they offer several different camping options so that you can camp in comfort. Lets face it, there are a few people that really LOVE camping but many of us, yes me, prefer a little more comfort. These days my back can’t hack lying on such a hard surface or even a blow up bed… Getting old in body only – my mind is as fresh as a daisy…
There are so many festival around the UK these days that it can be quite hard deciding which ones to go to. Most people have their favourites that they will go to each year and not give any others a chance however, how do you know which one you like the best if you stick with only one and don’t even visit the others?. If you have never attended Boomtown then you should. It is an experience that you would be daft to pass up!
Stay safe this festival season folks and look after each other and wear the festival clothing that makes you happy!
